As a key member of the healthcare team, you will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Clinical Decision Making: Use evidence-based practices, clinical decision making, and skilled communication to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean, maintain, and ensure proper functionality of equipment, troubleshoot equipment as necessary, and identify the need for service and/or repair.
- Education and Training: Teach, educate, and precept new teammates, orientees, and students, promoting a culture of safety and continuous learning.
Requirements:
- Licensure and Certification: Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license issued by the state in which the team member practices, Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Education: Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program, with a minimum of an associate degree.
- Skills and Abilities: Effective organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, proficient computer skills, use of email and electronic medical record systems, excellent communication (written and verbal), listening, and interpersonal skills.
