Procurement Specialist (Full Time)
Industry: Managed Service Provider
Location: Tallahassee, FL (Hybrid-remote available)

About this position: We are looking to add a motivated Procurement Specialist to our team to help ensure timely acquisition of goods and services necessary for our operations. This individual communicates with customers during various stages of the sales process, manages purchase orders, and ensures timely delivery of goods and services. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in procurement and sales and contribute to the success of our organization.
The Procurement Specialist will work and negotiate with partners, vendors and suppliers to purchase goods, products and services for Aegis clients. This person will work alongside our VP of Procurement, Account Exec and Sales Engineer to make sure we are providing best practices and cutting-edge hardware, software and cloud services for Aegis clients. This person will also work with our Logistics team scheduling deployment of items procured while also working with accounting on the sales process.

Essential Tasks of the Procurement Specialist
- Evaluate suppliers by considering price, quality, availability and other criteria
- Interview vendors and visiting suppliers’ facilities to learn about products, services and pricing
- Negotiate terms with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best deals on behalf of the company
- Verify purchases by comparing them to a master list and recommending alternatives for expensive or irrelevant products
- Interact with suppliers to schedule delivery times and resolve shipping errors
- Authorize payments and maintain receipts, records and inventories
- Attend industry trade shows, regional sales and procurement partner events to learn about and stay current on trends and to meet suppliers
