Equipment Support Specialist

We are seeking an Equipment Support Specialist to manage parts support and provide technical troubleshooting for industrial equipment. This role involves working closely with customers to diagnose mechanical issues, identify the correct replacement parts, and ensure equipment is back in operation as quickly as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers needing technical assistance and parts support.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues over the phone by reviewing schematics, blueprints, and equipment diagrams.
- Identify and recommend the correct replacement parts based on equipment models and customer needs.
- Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams to improve troubleshooting processes and enhance customer experience.
Qualifications:
Must-Haves:
- 3 years of experience in a mechanically inclined role (HVAC Technician, Maintenance Technician, Machine Builder, Service Technician, Electrician, or similar).
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose equipment issues remotely.
- Excellent communication skills for guiding customers through troubleshooting steps.
- High attention to detail and analytical thinking.
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience with an OEM or equipment manufacturer managing technical parts.
- Hands-on experience with phone-based troubleshooting or remote support.
- Familiarity with Epicor ERP or similar inventory management software.
