Project Accountant (PT / FT)
An established San Francisco Bay Area Civil and Geotechnical Engineering firm is seeking an experienced part or full-time Project Accountant, who will be based out of our San Francisco office. This position is required to report to the San Francisco office daily and is aimed toward a mid-level professional capable of independently managing the lifecycle of project accounting and will play a crucial role in supporting multiple Project Managers and ensuring financial success of multiple projects.
Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following :
- Process, review, entry and tracking of sub consultant invoices / contracts and job charges
- Ensure timely management of accounts payable, account receivable, and deposits
- Assist with account reconciliations and payroll process
- Prepare project and accounting related Excel spreadsheets and custom reports
- Review and enter timesheets and expenses
- Oversee vendor compliance (COI updates)
- Partner with Project Manager to prepare and distribute monthly project billings
- Review underbilled projects and discuss with project team to maximize revenue
- Be proactive in working with Project Managers on collection efforts
- Assist with Reports for project financial closeout
