Daily Racing Form seeks an Senior Accounting Manager to join its Finance team in Harrisburg, PA. The Senior Accounting Manager position is responsible for assisting in all accounting and finance related activities.
Salary Range: $75K to $95K
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and timely recording of accounting transactions.
- Perform various accounting functions, including but not limited to, reviewing accounts receivable, accounts payable and bank/credit card transactions.
- Perform monthly closing processes.
- Prepare GL account reconciliations.
- Maintain documentation of accounting processes.
- Monitor internal controls.
- Support financial audits, prepare schedules and provide documentation.
- Assist with the preparation, research and compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements including state sales and use tax returns.
- Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Maintain customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
- Provide leadership within the accounting group as well as financial support to members of management team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet assigned deadlines
- High level of attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
- Extensive knowledge of MS Excel/MS Office and familiarity with relevant ERP computer software
