Job Summary
The Corporate Accountant will be responsible for performing general ledger accounting, fixed assets accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, and management reporting as necessary. Support general financial needs of the organization by working collaboratively with various departments and business units to obtain and provide information.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily accounting and reporting activities regarding general ledger maintenance
- Perform analyses and prepare accounting entries related to numerous areas (e.g. inventory, accounts payable, accruals, inter/intracompany balancing, etc.)
- Collaborate with international businesses to accurately record and reconcile inter/intracompany transactions and complete audit confirmations
- Coordinate with various departments to support Sales, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable
- Perform technical accounting research and provide guidance to business units
- Collaborate with Corporate Accounting on adoption of new accounting pronouncements and Corporate policies
- Perform monthly account reconciliations
- Identify, propose, and implement process improvements, leading practices, and consistent application of practices across multiple business units and ERP systems
- Consolidate and analyze large and complex data sets to understand and explain the accounting transactions across multiple data sources and business units
- Assist in the monthly and yearly closing process
- Provide detailed analyses and explanations of transactions
- Facilitate collection of data requests in support of requirements related to Japanese SOX review
- Support external quarterly reviews and annual external audits
- Facilitate collection of data requests in support of completion of annual tax return

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance
- CPA or CMA
- 4 years of experience in Accounting
- Demonstrated analytical skills and problem-solving ability
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Expert skills with Microsoft Office (Excel formulas and pivot tables)
- Ability to query and organize from multiple sources and platforms
- Additional preferred qualifications:
- Experience with Oracle
- Public accounting experience
- Experience in manufacturing
