Environmental Services Specialist - Moses Lake, Washington
Position Overview
The Environmental Services Specialist supports and assists the Corporate Administrator & Portfolio Manager in maintaining multi-tenant commercial buildings and residential real estate. The role includes janitorial services, landscaping, snow removal, and other services required to keep properties and units clean, safe, and presentable. The specialist will oversee both preventative and responsive cleaning duties, ensure compliance with tenant behavior in leased areas, and coordinate with team members and vendors to maintain property standards. The position processes the team’s preparation for new tenants and responses to needs to environmental improvements, updating direct report as tasks are completed.
This full-time, non-exempt position offers a competitive hourly rate of $24 to $26 per hour, depending on experience. Comprehensive benefits include:

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Commercial & Residential Maintenance:
- Respond to and coordinate janitorial/housekeeping work orders for both commercial and residential tenants.
- Maintain units and common areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentable appearance.
- Maintain interior and exterior upkeep, minor landscaping, and shared community spaces.
2. Tenant Coordination & Compliance:
- Work closely with residential and commercial tenants to minimize disruptions during cleaning sessions.
- Observe and report compliance with lease obligations related to property upkeep for both commercial and residential spaces.
- Conduct regular inspections of commercial units and residential units to assess property conditions..
3. Emergency & Safety Response:
- Be available for urgent cleaning needs for both commercial and residential properties.
- Ensure safe environments are maintained by residents and guests..
4. Vendor & Contractor Oversight:
- Coordinate with external contractors for supplies.
- Ensure vendors comply with safety regulations, and orders are timely & correct.
5. Property Presentation:
- Maintain curb appeal and cleanliness for both commercial and residential properties.
- Support as needed small scale snow removal, landscaping, and waste management services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-5 years of industry experience.
- Knowledge of cleaning, housekeeping, and janitorial best practices.
- Ability to communicate electronically as needed.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for conflict resolution and teamwork.
- Basic skills in diagnosing and addressing janitorial/housekeeping needs.
- Dependable, flexible, and able to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Demonstrates proactive initiative, strong work ethic, and adherence to high moral values.
- Familiarity with multi-tenant building operations, fast paced environment, and flexible scheduling as needed..
REQUIREMENTS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a residential building setting. Required to walk extensively, climb stairs, bend, sit, stand, use hands to finger, handle, or control tools, reach with hands and arms, speak, and hear. Regularly lift or move office products or building supplies up to 50 pounds. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
