The skilled Tool & Die Fabricator will cut, shape, weld, and assemble materials, creating high-quality structures and machinery. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
Position is 2nd shift (2:30PM to 11PM)
Essential Functions
Required but not limited to:
- Interpret and work from blueprints, sketches, models, and samples
- Set up and operate fabrication equipment, including welders, plasma cutters, mills, lathes, grinders, cryogenic chambers, and heat treat ovens
- Machine, fit, assemble, weld, and install fabricated components
- Perform metal forming, bending, cutting, shaping, and finishing
- Cryogenically treat tools and parts
- Troubleshoot issues on the production floor and in the press room
- Repair and improve dies, tools, and fixtures
- Measure and inspect finished work to ensure it meets specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work collaboratively with coworkers and supervisors
- Meet or exceed production and quality standards
Work Environment
- Subject to hot temperatures and high temperature equipment such as welders and heat treat ovens
- May be subject to loud working environment.
- Skin may be exposed to petroleum-based grease and oils.
