Job OverviewReporting to the VP of Online Game Development, the Principal Math Designer will be the person responsible for managing the development of math and design for AGSi games. This includes slots, tables, and other genres.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, implementation and operation of game mathematics for slots, table games, and other genres of gamesCompile and evaluate new game play metricsCreate mathematical game concepts based on game design requirements providedResearch and create intellectual property based on industry knowledgeWork closely with VP of Online Game Development to achieve desired game play based on game design criteriaEvaluate competitive games and provide feedbackContribute to developing the game roadmapSolve the problem independently and can provide the help to other team membersWork with Game Producers on completing game submissions to independent test housesAnswer field question(s) from test houses or regulatory bodies
Skills / Requirements7 years’ experience in Gaming industry. Casino industry experience required.Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Computational Physics, Statistics, Electrical Engineering or equivalentProven track record of extensive math usage on the job (i.e. math models, formulas, etc.) and computer programmingProven record of delivering successful games in land or onlineExcellent knowledge of probabilistic and statistical methods with the ability to implement these statistical methods and write computer programsKnowledge of regulations and intellectual property based on industry experienceMust be able to clearly document and communicate results utilizing strong written and verbal skillsExcellent Excel skills a mustExcellent C / C , or C# skills a mustCreative, forward-thinking, and thrives in fast-paced technology product development and high-stress environmentExcellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiencesAbility to work with deadlines in a fast-paced and quick turn-around environment
