Maintenance Supervisor

SUMMARY:

Plan, direct and organize the activities of the Maintenance Department to minimize production down time to meet the production schedule without injuries and includes maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

· Responsible for keeping all machinery in safe, working condition. Assures maintenance of accurate records of repair material inventory, asset repair history and preventative maintenance schedules through provision of software, hardware and departmental operating practices.

· Maintains records of required mobile equipment and crane inspections.

· Develops and manages maintenance plans and operating policies which minimize downtime of assets.

· Maintains adequacy of all plant services, such as electricity, gas, water and waste disposal.

· Responsible for building and repairing jigs, fixtures, and dies as required. Send out work as required to complete repair.

· Provides proper employee training for a wide range of skilled trades.

· Assures that safe work practices are followed.

· Assist in relevant JCMS action items/activities as pertains to your knowledge/skill set and technical ability.

· Demonstrates knowledge of CNC equipment used in manufacturing.

· Seeks to minimize cost by using best methods to reduce scrap, offal, and purchase price of parts.

· Reviews project specifications and requirements to assure conformance of design and fabrication of product.

· Reports daily on KPI’s for the Maintenance department, Identifies Gaps with plans to resolve.

· Delivers Shift Startup Meeting to the Maintenance Department and reviews previous days performance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree or three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in manufacturing environment. Excellent mechanical, electrical, hydraulics and analytical ability is needed as well as good communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) as well as Internet software and E-mail is required. The employee will generally be required to lift approximately 35-50 pounds and must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint), as well as Internet software and E-mail is required. Other Applications include but not limited to Maximo, Maintain X, Kronos, and AS400.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervises employees in the Maintenance Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $68,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
