The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a logistics management specialist in support of sustainment phases of assigned systems, programs, or major equipment. The organizational location of this position is: Air Force, Air Force Materiel Command, Air Force Sustainment Center, 448th Supply Chain Management Wing, 638th Supply Chain Management Group, 407th Supply Chain Management Squadron, Logistics A Flight, Robins AFB, GA (407 SCMS/GULB and GULC). MISSION STATEMENT: 407 SCMS/GULB Mission Statement: Provides world-class airborne warning and control, navigation, and optical systems necessary for warfighters to safely transmit to and from designated target/destination. The Flight provides sustainment and logistics support of over 275 systems to include mounted cueing systems, E-3 mission computing systems, Doppler and surveillance radar systems, heads-up displays, and altimeters with a multifunctional team executing a multi-million dollar forecasted annual budget. 407 SCMS/ GULC Mission Statement: Provides the most combat effective and efficient diffusion of enemy air defenses with precision engagement capabilities. Responsible for worldwide logistics support of Precision Attack, Global Positioning System (GPS), and Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) systems used by DoD and Allied Weapons platforms. The Flight provides sustainment and logistics support for different 35 systems to include Global Positioning System, Navigations, Radar and Ground/Airborne Communications systems used by DoD and Allied Forces with a 22 member team executing a $23M forecasted annual budget. MAJOR DUTIES: DUTY 1: Serves as a logistics project lead/manager, conducting organizational and process related studies and analysis of organizations, functions, and work processes to improve mission effectiveness, resource allocation and efficiency, functions, and work processes to improve mission effectiveness, and resource allocation. Evaluates reports by analyzing facts and performing appropriate research and prepares detailed responses.
