About the Role:
The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Electrical and Maintenance Supervisor (WS-2801-13) to work at the 412th Test Wing, 412th Civil Engineer Group, 412th Civil Engineer Squadron, Facilities Systems (412 CES/CEOF) at Edwards Air Force Base.

In this position you will serve as the Electrician Supervisor exercising technical and administrative supervision over subordinate supervisors and workers in accomplishing trades and labor Interior and Exterior Electrical work. The Electrical Element provides all resources necessary to perform construction, repair, and maintenance services tasks inclusive of all accessories and components of the primary, secondary, ancillary, auxiliary and associated electrical systems.

This position also has supervisory responsibilities of personnel providing operation and maintenance to Power Generators, Aircraft Arresting Systems and Fire Alarm Systems of the Civil Engineer Squadron, Facility Systems Flight. Supervisory responsibilities include duties in the following areas: Workforce Management, Performance Management and Employee Development, Work Planning, and Work Direction while ensuring continuous education in compliance with and practice of Security Directives, Safety Directives and Programs and health habits in all work areas.

Typical 2025 salary range: $60.32 - $70.37 per hour (includes locality)

Desired Skills

• At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower level or pay band coordinating and/or leading a wide variety of complex and/or major work requirements
• At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower level or pay band providing supervision, leadership and direction to subordinates by delegating specific authority to carry out their respective responsibilities while establishing employee performance standards, conducting performance appraisals, and establishing leave schedules and approval guidelines

Major Duties:

• Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities, complies with applicable Federal Regulations, Occupational Health/Safety rules/practices; security requirements
• Administers performance management program responsibilities, ensuring employee performance plans, progress reviews, and appraisals are accomplished in compliance with AF guidance and timeframes.
• Plans on a quarterly or longer basis the overall use of personnel and other resources in two or more separate organizational segments or groups controlled through one or more levels of supervision
• Supports the agency’s EEO program through allocation of personnel to participate in community outreach and recruitment programs, ensures full cooperation of employees with EEO office officials

Qualifications/Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship
• Obtain & maintain security clearance
• This is a designated Drug Testing Position
• Must obtain and maintain a current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification
• Flightline Driving/Testing is required
• May work with hazardous materials such as asbestos or accumulated waste Employee will be required to wear protective clothing and gear on these occasions
• Knowledge of a wide range of principles, processes, and techniques of trade(s) and/or craft(s) supervised and personnel management policies, practices, and procedures, including sexual harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity/ Equal Employment Treatment
• Knowledge of the use and maintenance of hand and power tools, equipment, and precision measuring and /or test equipment common to trades supervised
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and technical specifications
• Emergency overtime may be required
• Will be required to participate in base contingency exercises
