Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Tableau Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in data visualization, strong proficiency in Tableau development, and a passion for building innovative solutions to turn data into actionable insights. This role will involve working closely with business stakeholders to create visually compelling reports and dashboards that support decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights for business users.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective Tableau visualizations.
- Develop and implement Tableau reports and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy, clarity, and performance.
- Integrate data from multiple sources (databases, APIs, etc.) to create comprehensive visualizations for end-users.
- Optimize and enhance Tableau reports and workbooks for better performance and user experience.
- Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting for Tableau dashboards to ensure optimal performance in production environments.
- Provide training and support to end-users on how to effectively use Tableau reports and dashboards.
- Work with business teams to continuously improve data quality and ensure reports are aligned with key business metrics.
- Collaborate with the data engineering team to create and refine data pipelines and ensure seamless integration with Tableau.
- Adhere to best practices for Tableau development and governance.
- Stay current with Tableau features, new technologies, and industry trends to recommend enhancements or improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Tableau Developer with hands-on expertise in designing, building, and deploying Tableau reports and dashboards.
- Strong proficiency with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Prep.
- Experience working with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Knowledge of data modeling, data integration, and data warehousing concepts.
- Strong understanding of visualization best practices, including creating clear and effective dashboards.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and with business stakeholders.
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data transformation tools.
Preferred:
- Experience with cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and connecting Tableau to cloud data sources.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and automation.
- Tableau Certification (e.g., Tableau Desktop Specialist, Tableau Server Certified Associate).
- Experience working with other BI tools or reporting technologies.
- Experience in Agile development methodologies.
