Job Summary:
A Julia Executive Search is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for independently planning, managing, and executing tasks with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, design, and test mechanical components for prototypes and final products
- Represent the Design Engineering Team professionally in communications with customers, cross-functional teams, and the organization
- Analyze warranty data to improve products by identifying root causes and developing solutions for field issues
- Contribute to the development of the design team, including engineers and designers
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) with at least 5 years of experience in product design, within a structural manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in 3-D CAD modeling software, with Siemens NX experience
- Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) is a plus
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including Lean Manufacturing, Value Stream Mapping, VA/VE, welding, and assembly
- Experience with ISO/APQP standards, FMEA, process flows, and production processes
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
