Mechanical Engineer
JOB DESCRIPTION
This person reports directly to the Director-Sustaining Engineering and is responsible for managing the design of refuse equipment from concept to production.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Generate design documentation using Solid Works for drawings and Word for specifications.
- Prepare and execute characterization test procedures necessary to verify the design and performance of the devices.
- Interface with vendors for critical component selection and documentation.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- B.S Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum two years hands on experience in mechanical design with mobile industrial.
- FEA experience preferred.
- Knowledge of fabrication, welding, hydraulics, pneumatic and electrical circuit design a plus.
- Experience using SolidWorks and/or similar 3D CAD software.
- Excellent organizational skills handling project level responsibilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to analyze complex functions, procedures and problems to find creative, logical and effective solutions.
- Ability to understand client needs, identify root causes of problems and implement pragmatic solutions.
