Akkodis is seeking a highly skilled Assembly and Test Development Manager (ITAR) to join our team for a contract-to-hire position with a client in a strategic location.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and sustaining assembly and test processes, designing mechanical fixtures and tools, and collaborating with the Engineering team to achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain assembly and test processes
- Design mechanical fixtures and tools to support production assembly and tests
- Collaborate with the Engineering team to develop and implement process improvements
- Analyze production and field failures and provide root cause corrective action
- Help improve production rates, efficiencies, yields, and costs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- 3 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering
- Intermediate knowledge of mechanical materials
- Optical design experience a plus
- Experience in lean manufacturing practices
- Experience in assembly process standardization
