Data Center Technician

Akkodis is seeking a Data Center Technician for a Contract job with a client in Tampa, FL. The candidate is responsible for resolving hardware and software issues in support of customer data centers

Rate Range: $22/hour to $25/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Data Center Technician job responsibilities include:

• Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues with hardware and software infrastructure, including servers, network, and security systems.
• Performing installations, component replacements, and operating system installations in data center environments.
• Lifting and moving servers and racks, up to 50 lbs, independently when required.
• Managing and resolving escalations, clearing blocking issues to ensure seamless data center operations.
• Using software tools to troubleshoot and perform day-to-day data center functions efficiently.
• Maintaining documentation of daily activities and coordinating with management and peers.
• Willingness to travel between customer locations and work overtime or weekends as necessary for installations or rack/stack events.

Desired Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of technical experience in data center support or related roles.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues within IT infrastructure.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (50 lbs) and work independently when necessary.

Pay Details: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour
