Hardware Test Engineer (Quantum)
Akkodis is seeking a skilled Hardware Test Engineer with expertise in RF electronics to work on testing existing and new designs, collaborating with designers to create test sets, and performing automated testing and reporting. Proficiency in Python is required.
Project Overview
- The Quantum team aims to make state-of-the-art quantum computing tools available worldwide to solve complex problems.
- The Quantum electronics team conducts R&D to implement the world's best quantum computers, with a long-term goal of achieving a fault-tolerant quantum computer.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement performance tests on custom analog electronics.
- Verify that new designs meet their performance targets and design manufacturing tests.
- Work with designers to get system requirements, build test setups, write scripts to automate testing, and produce reports.
Top 2 Daily Responsibilities:
- Design test setups for custom RF electronics using commercial test & measurement equipment, test fixtures, and measurement protocols.
- Execute the test plan and produce reports for new devices.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- BS in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in electronic test, including RF and digital FPGA-based systems.
Non-Essential Skills Qualifications:
- MS/PhD in electrical engineering or related disciplines.
- Strong understanding of electronic characterization techniques relevant to analog, mixed-signal, RF, and digital subsystems.
- Experience overseeing test by third-party manufacturing partners.
- Experience leading electronic test activities, either as an individual or within a team.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Generate test plans for internal testing of analog/mixed-signal/RF components and assemblies and own execution of these test plans.
- Develop systems and fixturing for characterization of analog/RF/digital components and systems.
- Generate test plans for external testing of analog/mixed-signal/RF components and work with partners to execute these test plans during production.
- Document test results.
