This position will include both inbound and outbound calls with the goal of closing sales. Previous success in outside sales, or a background in telemarketing, is essential for this role. The successful candidate should be able to work independently and possess strong communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Research, locate, and call new accounts to sell products.
- Know the customer's business and industry.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the customer's specific needs.
- Be aware of current competitors and their strengths and weaknesses.
- Prepare reports on customer sales trends.
- Prepare customized contract proposals for customer use.
- Manage competitive intelligence efforts; employ marketing tools to identify new business opportunities.
- Be able to sell products or services over the phone.
