What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Specialist position at Alakaina Family of Companies?
The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for an IT Specialist to support our government customer located in San Antonio, Texas.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to work with personnel in a remote capacity and troubleshoot their remote systems.
- This work will include troubleshooting, working with remote employee(s), coordinating account permissions, security updates, and maintaining/assisting with network connectivity.
- Keep unassigned computers online in and turned on weekly to ensure they maintain network connectivity.
- Provide IM/IT support of the Joint Trauma System Manager (JTSM) software application for monitoring GFE, hand receipts for GFE, and tracking mail out and return of GFE.
- Track and upload signed hand receipts in the JTSM GFE module for military, GS employees and contractors.
- Work closely with the DHA warehouse and JTS property book holder and sub account holders for mailout and return of GFE.
- The contractor shall run GFE reports as requested by the JTS Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
- Provide assistance with in-processing new military, GS employees and contractor personnel and getting network access and accounts set up.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- BS-Computer Science or related degree
- Network or Security
- IAMII: CAP; CASP CE; CISM; CISSP (or Associate); GSLC; CCISO; or HCISPP
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience providing IT customer support services.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Military experience is desirable.
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to obtain an active Secret clearance
