Job Description: Assistant Fashion Designer
We are seeking a highly creative and motivated individual to join our design team as an Assistant Fashion Designer. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the development process of seasonal releases and private label product.
Responsibilities include:
- Researching trends and bringing in new ideas through competitive shopping, tear sheets, magazines, trade journals, and websites.
- Developing mood and style boards for collection inspiration and style tracking.
- Evaluating colors based on market trends and sales evaluation.
- Preparing Technical Packages (TPs) that clearly communicate style and technical details for accurate style development.
- Meeting all events/deadlines on the design calendar.
- Expert garment sketching via flat and/or online.
- Accurately measuring garments, fit, and processing TPs according to established standards.
- Communicating daily to all necessary parties with an attention to detail that achieves timely delivery and market superior product.
- Creating private label TPs as directed by incoming orders.
- Executing specific design development projects as assigned by the company.
