The Bakery Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Bakery Operations and Merchandising of a group of stores, including full P&L responsibilities. He/She will be responsible for Implementation of and continued execution of department sales, merchandising, and various other initiatives.

Operations Manager
Ensures the integrity and execution of merchandising initiatives and business plans to drive profitable sales growth for a group of stores
Continuously evaluates operations to deliver against strategic and financial objectives
Analyzes data, making informed decisions to maximize sales and profits - blending the science of the data with the art of merchandising
Ensures food safety standards are upheld and product quality standards are achieved
A good steward of company assets and ensures equipment is being properly maintained
Acts consistently with United’s policies and procedures
Industry Expert
Continuously researches and monitors industry trends to be knowledgeable of opportunities within the Bakery Dept.
Advises Business Director on the competition within the markets we operate and the most effective methods of merchandising – ensuring the latest industry best-of-class methods are being employed
Administrator
Participates in the hiring of department managers and oversees the hiring for all department Team Members
Oversees the implementation and communication of department specific plans, including annual goals
Key Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Minimum 5 years’ of retail Bakery Manager or Business Manager experience
College degree preferred
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
Must be flexible to work various hours/shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overnight stays
Ability to clearly communicate in all forms, with excellent written and verbal communication
Have a proven successful operational track record with P&L accountability
Must have knowledge of the markets in which we operate
Must have strong analytical and computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Must be well organized with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
Must have a clear understanding of The United Family’s pricing structure and relationships as it pertains to Bakery
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Perform all other physical aspects of the job including bending, squatting, lifting, climbing, and walking
Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits, and attitude
Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
