What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Receptionist position at ALDER CREEK PET LODGE?
This busy kennel is seeking an experienced, hard-working, and detail-oriented person to join our team! We are a family-owned business, and our clients have been depending on the same care that goes above and beyond all expectations for over 40 years.
We are looking for a Receptionist who feels comfortable with all tasks including handling dogs and cats of all sizes and demeanor, taking calls, scheduling boarding and grooming appointments, data entry, labeling pet's items brought from home, checking pets out and handling cash and card payments, administering medications, feeding pets, checking water and bedding, walking dogs, and tidying up kennels at end of shift. Our office is very busy and you need to be able to manage multiple tasks, maintain a tidy workspace, and follow protocols. Our biggest priority is providing outstanding care for the pets we serve, every time they are staying with us.
We are looking for full time help Wednesday through Saturday from 10 am to 6:30 pm. Must have reliable transportation. Weekend and holidays required. NO animal allergies, please. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, work on your feet, and keep up a fast pace. While this is a receptionist position, we do not sit down often.
Our team requires help that can take guidance, work independently, continually works to do their best every day, and loves to work with animals. This is a fast-paced job and requires good communication skills, teamwork and a positive attitude.
