Own clinical and wellness outcomes:
- Supervise and direct regional clinical team as well as oversight of memory care and programming functions.
- Partner with operations and people leadership to provide and support innovative solutions to nursing leadership and staffing requirements.
- Direct and manage clinical and wellness metrics across all portfolios such as clinical indicators, own clinical ops KPIs including admission denials, HLOC move-outs, LOC assessments, IDT compliance, staffing metrics and EHR compliance; drive accountability and focus through governance and outlier management.
- Measure and evaluate above quality measures/indicators and provide insights and trends to drive national actions.
- Oversee resident incident tracking, identify and mitigate trends, and collaborate with Legal to identify opportunities to minimize/reduce liability risks.
- Oversee compliance/accuracy of the resident assessment process and documentation
- Continually evolve clinical and wellness standards and practices and partner with people team to ensure team member development and performance.
- Collaborate with learning and development to develop and implement training and quality assurance programs for new and experienced team members.
- Draft, implement, and execute policies and procedures to facilitate an exceptional resident experience and a culture of customer service. Own the design and implementation of customer service training for all resident-facing team members.
- Partner with VP of Marketing to align on resident messaging and enterprise themes/campaigns.
- Drive resident programming strategy across all lines of business including IL, AL and Memory Care. Bring a product development mindset to continually refresh and enhance resident programming, including the coordination of ancillary services.
- Coordination of services with and oversight of outside suppliers, vendors, agencies, and contractors, as necessary.
- Develop and implement methods to record, assess, and analyze resident feedback (including resident surveys, resident council engagement and grievance management processes), while applying broad knowledge of leading practices, business challenges, and consumer business models to identify trends and competitive advantages.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses of customer feedback using leading practice research and analytics methodologies.
- Own resident retention metrics and related processes including interdisciplinary resident needs assessment (IDT) process and move-out-save action planning.
- Partner with people team to establish performance metrics for team members related to resident experience, including establishing service levels and requirements.
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the resident experience, ensuring quality service is provided within the established business plan and budget.
- Provide oversight, prioritization and operationalization of national initiatives that impact the resident experience.
- Drive clinical and wellness process and technology roadmap including data and KPIs as well as community compliance with clinical and wellness system initiatives (i.e. electronic health records, “point of care” documentation systems, level of care).
- Create and develop new and innovative ways to better serve and enhance the experience of our residents in our communities as well as identify and recommend technological solutions to improve the resident experience and retention.
- Hires and retains talent that is aligned to the goals and mission of the organization.
- Builds strong collaborative teams and leads our values by example.
- Establishes clear goals and expectations for team that advance organizational goals.
- Provides constructive feedback to reinforce positive behaviors and redirect team members as needed.
- Encourages open dialogue with team members about growth and development opportunities to help them reach their full potential.
- BSN required, MSN preferred.
- 10 years experience in Senior Living in a clinical role involving a combination of hands-on nursing and clinical leadership.
- 5 years in a corporate/divisional level leadership role for a multi-facility organization; prior experience in a Vice President role a plus.
- Previous experience in aging resources to include wellness, fitness and engagement for seniors. Leadership role in Senior Living preferred.
- Working knowledge of all aspects of senior supportive services from Home Care to Physical Therapy
- Program development experience
- Experience in project management and program creation, roll-out and implementation across multiple locations. Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures.
- Excellent leadership skills with proven ability to motivate, direct, and develop team members to be efficient and effective.
- Solid business acumen, strategic planning, problem solving and relationship building skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with other department heads and team members at all levels of a complex matrixed organization to create a team-oriented environment.
- Highly effective time management skills and ability to multi-task efficiently.
