Job Summary
Our construction company is seeking an Accounts Receivable/Payable Specialist that would assist with bookkeeping efforts. Our ideal applicant would hold a bachelor's degree in accounting with several years of experience with data entry and bookkeeping. The ideal applicant would also be comfortable using standard invoicing and vendor management software.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing all aspects of accounting, billing, financial statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable and tax compliance
- Assist in overseeing payments of all accounts
- Prepare quarterly/annual financial reports
- Organize information and statements for audits
- Comply with all local, state and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting
- Ensuring company complies with all additional legal and regulatory requirements
- Additional accounting duties as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration with an emphasis in accounting or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years in finance and accounting
- Proficiency with accounting software as well as Microsoft word, excel and outlook
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with clients regarding payment inquiries.
