Job Summary
We are a busy two doctor clinic that treats dogs, cats and exotic pets! We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist/CSR to join our team. This role requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
This role is ideal for an experienced veterinary receptionist, or an experienced veterinary assistant who loves the field but is in search of a less physically taxing day to day. Cross training as an assistant will be provided if necessary, as there will be occasional shifts helping in appointments.
Starting pay rate based on experience, and raises with every annual review.
Duties
- Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar to optimize workflow.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all necessary documentation is completed.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
- Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail.
- Assist veterinary staff with basic animal care tasks as needed, including handling pets during examinations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
- Provide clients with information on available services.
- Stay informed about veterinary terminology and procedures to effectively communicate with clients.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a veterinary setting is required.
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology is beneficial for effective communication.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their pets.
- A passion for animal care and welfare is essential for success in this role.
- Must have reliable transportation, be willing to dress up for Halloween, have a passion for learning, and thrive in a teamwork setting.
