PCA/Caregiver

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring they receive the care and attention necessary for their well-being. Duties

• Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide support with mobility, including lifting and transferring clients as needed.
• Help clients with meal preparation and feeding assistance.
• Monitor and record vital signs as required.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations or activities.
• Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
• Document care provided and any changes in client condition.

Skills

• Proficient in First Aid techniques and emergency response.
• Experience in home care, long-term care, or assisted living settings is preferred.
• Ability to lift and assist clients safely while maintaining their dignity.
• Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and documentation practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on empathy and compassion in caregiving.
• Reliable transportation for driving clients when necessary.
• Familiarity with caregiving practices within nursing homes or similar environments is a plus.

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 56 per week
