Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various construction tasks and support skilled tradespeople in their duties. This role is essential for ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to high standards. The Helper will have the opportunity to learn valuable skills while contributing to a variety of construction projects.
Duties
- Assist carpenters with framing, installation, and finishing tasks.
- Perform caulking, drywall installation, and repair work as needed.
- Support welding operations and assist with metal fabrication tasks.
- Help with stucco application and maintenance.
- Operate heavy equipment safely under supervision.
- Engage in concrete forming and finishing activities.
- Read and interpret blueprints to assist in project execution.
- Participate in masonry work, including bricklaying and stone setting.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met.
Requirements
- Previous experience or knowledge in carpentry, masonry, or other construction trades is preferred.
- Familiarity with caulking, drywall installation, concrete forming, and finishing techniques is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand technical drawings.
- Experience operating heavy equipment is advantageous but not mandatory; training may be provided.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the job site.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on various tasks as needed.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy materials.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Weekends as needed
