Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-K Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. As a Pre-K Teacher, you will play a vital role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of Pre-K aged children.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to build strong relationships and support child welfare.
- Provide individualized attention to students to support their unique learning needs, including those requiring early intervention.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective classroom management techniques.
- Incorporate physical education activities into the curriculum to promote physical health and well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to create a cohesive teaching approach and share best practices.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a pre-k or childcare setting is essential.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of childcare principles and practices is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with tutoring techniques to support children's learning objectives is beneficial.
- Ability to create an inclusive environment that accommodates diverse learning styles and backgrounds.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in early childhood education.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
