We are seeking a qualified leader to oversee all aspects, from start to finish, of our projects located in and around the Western MA area.

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all operations aspects of the project including quality control, scheduling, logistics, and procurement of material, general information flow, and project financials. The PM may oversee a single large project or multiple projects in public/private commercial, institutional and multi-family new construction and renovation; projects which range in size from $1 to $15 million located in and around the Western MA area.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of construction from start to final closeout and warranty. Project size commensurates with applicants' experience and capabilities.
  • Review and analyze plans, specifications and contract requirements.
  • Create and maintain construction schedule for review with project executive and subsequent presentation to project team.
  • Monitor construction progress, update and present construction schedules.
  • Attend project meetings to discuss project, answer questions and present new business items.
  • Monitor work for compliance with contract documents; ensure that work in field conforms to approved submittals.
  • Manage information flow and process documentation of submittals, change directives, rfi's, etc, in a manner that keeps all team members fully updates at all times.
  • Collect, review, mark up and present submittals, samples and mockups to architect; maintain submittal log.
  • Identify, prepare and present change order requests; maintain change order log.
  • Collect, review and respond to subcontractor RFI’s, compile and submit RFI’s to architect as necessary; maintain RFI log.
  • Maintain job log
  • Develop and build relationships with sub-contractors, architects, engineers and owners.
  • Create and distribute O&M manuals and close out documents.
  • Service and maintain the project through the warranty period.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
  • 5 years of experience within construction management / general contracting.
  • Knowledge and experience with CAD and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Business management acumen, and strong leadership and client service skills.
  • Experience in the following markets: commercial, institutional, multi-family
  • Experience estimating construction projects, reviewing, understanding, and performing take-offs, reviewing sub and supplier bids.
  • A working understanding of construction means, methods and techniques.
  • The ability to read and interpret plans, specifications and other contract documents as well as a broad understanding of best construction practices is required.
  • The ability to identify constructability issues and offer alternatives for the design teams consideration.
  • The ability to manage subcontractors, manage information flow in a manner that keeps all members of construction team current at all times
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, time management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience as a project engineer and/or a field superintendent.
  • Experience in estimating labor production and building final job estimate

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $53,446.64 - $130,292.11 per year

Salary : $53,447 - $130,292
