What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director of Outreach and CTR position at Alliance for Positive Change?
The AD of Outreach & CTR will have overall responsibility for program development and implementation of HIV counseling and testing and Outreach programs. The focus is on priority populations, such as Black and Latino communities, LGBTQ communities, and people who use drugs (PWUD).
Responsibilities
· Develop and revise program policies and procedures.
· Collaborate on and implement agency wide Outreach Activities calendar
· Supervise team of HIV counselors and Testers and outreach workers
· Provide and/or coordinate ongoing staff training on outreach and CTR best practices, including engagement skills, HIV testing practice and protocols, Alliance screening tool, and documentation.
· Collaborate with community partners to identify high-risk populations and develop targeted outreach strategies.
· Lead community awareness campaigns and educational initiatives to increase HIV testing uptake.
· Build relationships with local organizations and healthcare providers to facilitate referrals and linkage to care (medical care, harm reduction, and mental health)
· Provide confidential pre- and post-test HIV counseling to clients, addressing concerns, explaining test results, and offering support.
· Implement quality management projects
· Conduct monthly chart review to ensure quality documentation and service provision
· Compile monthly agency and funder reports reflecting program successes, challenges, lessons learned, program deficiencies, and corrective action planning. Monitor program deliverables
· Ensure that program data is entered on a within 48 hours into Funder required database systems and Alliance EHR.
· Participate in and support required phone conferences, webinars, and meetings. Prepare for and participate in site visits.
· Attend all scheduled All-staff Agency, Program, and Bucket meetings or any other meeting your supervisor or the funder decides.
· Attend, In-Person, a minimum of two annual agency events for clients (i.e. World AIDS Day, PREP Graduation, Poetry Reading, etc.) Thanksgiving and Holiday party do not qualify!!
· Fundraise or donate (give or get) $150 annually.
· Other duties as required to meet the mission of the agency and the Linkage department.
Qualifications
The Assistant Director of Outreach and CTR of will have a master's degree and/or four years’ experience managing a team working with individuals infected and at risk for HIV/AIDS and people who use drugs. Certified HIV Counselor. Strong organization and coordination skills required. Should be able to lift and carry 20-40 lbs. Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) a plus. Valid driver license. Able to navigate the NYC MTA. Computer Literate. Belief in Alliance’s mission and work is desirable. Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion required. COVID-19 vaccination required.
Salary : $66,999 - $75,000
