Are you a highly experienced accounting and finance leader passionate about real estate? We are partnered with a privately-held real estate investment and management firm with a long history of success and a diverse portfolio of commercial properties throughout California. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Vice President to serve as the top accounting and finance executive, reporting directly to the owner.
Position Summary :
As a key leadership team member, you will be responsible for the organization's financial health and accurate reporting. This role requires a deep understanding of real estate accounting, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee all accounting functions, including corporate, property, and financial reporting.
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
- Advise the Executive Team on all financial matters.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations.
- Manage relationships with external financial partners (CPA, etc.).
- Maximize return on financial assets and mitigate risk.
- Oversee all accounting operations, including billing, A / R, A / P, and revenue recognition.
- Communicate financial information clearly and effectively.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
