Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse Direct Access
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse Direct Access to join our team at Allied Digestive Health.
About the Role:
The Licensed Practical Nurse Direct Access will provide high-quality patient care by conducting nursing interviews to determine medical eligibility for screening procedures, including colonoscopies and endoscopies. This will involve collecting medical and family histories from patients, reviewing preps, and scheduling procedures or office visits.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing patients throughout the Capsule Endoscopy procedure process, including obtaining and reviewing patient medical history, providing prep instructions, placement and removal of Capsule Endoscopy equipment, and guidance during the procedure process.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting nursing interviews to determine medical eligibility for screening procedures
- Managing patients throughout the Capsule Endoscopy procedure process
- Providing high-quality patient care in an office setting
Requirements:
- Current NYS LPN license
- Minimum of one year of experience in a clinical setting
- Intermediate level of computer skills
- Able to provide a safe and comfortable environment for patients
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills to provide appropriate care to all age groups
