The Licensed Practical Nurse Direct Access provides high-quality patient care by conducting nursing interviews to determine medical eligibility for screening procedures and managing patients during Capsule Endoscopy procedures.

This role requires a current NYS LPN license, clinical experience, and the ability to create a safe environment for patients of all ages. Our dedicated team of providers prioritize personalized treatment plans for patients, delivering the highest quality of care. All our doctors are board-certified in gastroenterology and hepatology.We are looking for a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse Direct Access who will be responsible for:

• Conducting nursing interviews to determine medical eligibility for screening colonoscopy/endoscopy, including collecting medical and family histories from patients, reviewing preps, and scheduling procedures or office visits.
• Managing the patient throughout the Capsule Endoscopy procedure process, including obtaining and reviewing patient medical history, providing prep instructions, placement and removal of Capsule Endoscopy equipment, and guidance to the patient during the procedure process.
• Placing and removing equipment for Capsule Endoscopies.
• Providing high-quality patient care in an office setting.

The Licensed Practical Nurse Direct Access must have the following qualifications and experience:

• Current NYS LPN license.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a clinical setting.
• Intermediate level of computer skills.
• The ability to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our patients.
• Must have demonstrated knowledge and skills to provide appropriate care to all age groups.
