Position Summary:
As an Associate/Analyst at Allied, you will play a critical role in evaluating new investment opportunities which will include performing industry research, competitive analysis, financial statement analysis and financial modeling for potential transactions. You will work closely with current and future portfolio companies to ensure the development and execution of new and existing initiatives, as well as follow-on M&A growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
● Support the evaluation of new investment opportunities.
● Participate in the diligence process for new investment opportunities.
● Conduct broad-scale industry research and analysis to understand industry landscapes within our focus areas.
● Work closely with portfolio companies to ensure the execution of initiatives.
● Interact with management teams, financing sources and service providers to analyze and execute transactions.
● Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
● Undergraduate degree from a top-tier university.
● Minimum of 2 years analytical experience in financial services (preferable investment banking or private equity).
● The ability to analyze and thoroughly understand financial statements.
● A basic understanding of GAAP accounting practices.
● Extensive experience with financial modeling and data analytics.
● Expert-level proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
● The ability to quickly summarize the merits of a potential transaction in both written and verbal form.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey messages clearly and concisely.
● Ability to work autonomously and in teams, and at all levels of the organization (internally and externally).
● Capacity to work effectively with varying levels of ambiguity and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
● Willingness to travel as needed.
