Allied Maker is seeking a dedicated Procurement Specialist to oversee the procurement of over 150 custom spun metal components that we have designed over the years. This role involves maintaining strong relationships with our trusted metal spinning and wood turning partners and ensuring the seamless supply of components required for our production process.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Management:
- Quote and purchase parts to maintain all required inventory at “preferred stock levels.”
- Analyze data from Intiflow and NetSuite ERP systems to make informed procurement decisions.
Vendor Relations:
- Maintain and improve existing vendor relationships.
- Pursue and evaluate new vendor opportunities to expand our network.
Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Work closely with Design and Engineering teams to understand and communicate part requirements.
- Assist the Receiving department with quality control inspections.
- Communicate potential delivery delays or quality issues to the Scheduling and Production teams.
Central Point of Contact:
- Act as the central liaison for design, engineering, scheduling, production, and receiving departments regarding all matters related to the parts under your control.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proven experience in procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or design environment.
- Strong understanding of metal spinning and wood turning processes.
- Familiarity with DDMRP systems and ERP software, specifically Intiflow and NetSuite.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
