Maintenance Manager (Food Production)

Maintenance Manager – 2nd shift

Salary Range: $95k – $115k

• Must have PLC experience. (Beckhoff or Allen Bradley)

• Must be a people manager. Very hands on and on the floor majority of the time.

The Maintenance Manager is a hands-on position that is responsible for preventative and routine maintenance task in a food manufacturing plant. The Maintenance Manager works with their staff to troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Machine maintenance, breaking down equipment, adjusting and setting up for daily production.

• Preventative maintenance, which includes daily and weekly inspection on all aspects of machinery.

• Develops budgets for plant maintenance, projects and major and minor line improvements.

• Schedules, supervises, and directs work of the staff.

• Evaluates performance and works with Plant Manager regarding personnel issues.

• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

• Able to work overtime and on call 24 hours a day for emergency situations. Weekend work required as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in FOOD production/ facility maintenance; 3 year’s supervisory experience.

• Experience with SQF or other GFSI program.

• College degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering; equivalent experience may be substituted for educational requirement.

• Must be a proactive team player who learns quickly when facing new problems and a learner open to change.

• ADVANCED mechanical and electrical skills.

• Must be able to work with power tools and work on high and low voltages. Have own tools.

• Equipment knowledge of: Weber Slicers, Sealers, Flow wrappers, Multivacs and Labelers.

• Able to read engineering schematics such as electrical, mechanical, plumbing, hydraulic and pneumatic.

• Welding experience.

• Light Carpentry.

• Excellent communication skills. Able to interact with all levels of personnel.

• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
