Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Director of Medical Staff Services to lead the Medical Staff Services Department. This individual will oversee all credentialing and privileging processes to ensure compliance and maintain the highest standards of provider qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 3 Credentialing Specialists.
- Ensure timely and accurate credentialing and privileging of all physicians and medical staff.
- Collaborate closely with the Chief of Staff and Chief Medical Officer.
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and accreditation requirements.
- Oversee daily operations of the Medical Staff Services Department.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or business-related field (Required)
- Master’s degree (Preferred)
Certifications:
- Required: Dual Certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services
- CPMSM (Certified Professional Medical Staff Management)
- CPCS (Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist)
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing credentialing verification and medical staff services
