Lab Technician

The Position:

We are seeking a hardworking, skilled (or willingness to learn and be trained) Lab Technician at Alpha Aromatics. You will assist with and be responsible for compounding aromas ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures and good manufacturing processes.

• Monday - Friday Start time: 6:30am-3:00pm

Duties and Responsibilities

• Replicate formulas created by the perfumer and applications chemist for customers’ requests.
• Package finished goods.
• Maintain a continuous supply of raw materials needed for the manufacturing of products.
• Performs all duties in compliance with safety rules, standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Ability to multitask, problem solve and meet project deadlines for optimal results.
• Ability to work cohesively in a collaborative lab environment promoting teamwork and/or work independently.
• Maintain a neat and organized work area.
• Need to be on time to work on a daily basis.

Required skills and Qualifications

• Good communication skills to read/understand policies and procedures, following instructions precisely to ensure product is manufactured to specific standards, maintain written logs and records, understand verbal instructions, and discuss problems with supervisors and other staff.
• Accurate basic math skills.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, safety and effectively working with other members of the department and take instruction.
• Attention to detail and ability to problem solve.

Physical Requirements:

• Employees sit/stand
• Maintain records.
• Perform repetitive duties for long periods.
• lift large containers weighing up to 50 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Pay may depend on skills and/or qualifications

Ability to Commute:

• Pittsburgh, PA 15238 (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

• Pittsburgh, PA 15238: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
