Responsibilities
- Provide first-line support for users experiencing technical issues with hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Utilize help desk tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, etc. to track and manage support requests.
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware and peripherals.
- Manage and maintain Active Directory services, including user account creation, modification, and deletion.
- Implement and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce security settings and software deployment across the network.
- Monitor Active Directory performance, system health, and security logs to identify and resolve issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Execute Active Directory backup and disaster recovery plans, including regular testing and updating of recovery procedures to minimize downtime in case of system failures.
- Communicate effectively with users to understand their needs and provide clear instructions for resolving issues.
- Maintain documentation of support processes, solutions, and user guides to enhance knowledge sharing within the team.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to improve system performance and user experience.
- Ensure compliance with company policies regarding IT security and data protection.
Experience
- Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in an IT support environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Active Directory management.
- Familiarity with help desk software such as Jira or ServiceNow.
- Experience in computer hardware troubleshooting and management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
