USA Dispatcher – International Shipments (Air & Ocean Import/Export)
My client, a well-established Freight Forwarder in Chicago is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced USA Dispatcher to join their dynamic Chicago team to assist in managing the coordination of International Air and Ocean freight domestic movements.
As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and dispatching International Air and Ocean freight shipments to and from the Airlines/Ports to ensure timely and efficient deliveries. You will work closely with carriers, airlines, steamship lines, customs brokers, and customers to track shipments, resolve any logistics issues, and optimize transportation routes. Your role is crucial in maintaining smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Duties / Requirements Include:
- Dispatching International Freight
- Import delivery of Air Cargo
- Import delivery of Air cargo
- Export pickup for Air and Ocean shipments
- TSA Experience
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in international freight forwarding, air and ocean dispatching, or logistics coordination.
- Strong understanding of international transportation regulations, customs procedures, and carrier networks.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, transportation management systems (TMS), and freight forwarding software.
