*The Ideal Background:*
- Bachelor's Degree required plus 5 years of applicable HR generalist experience required
- PHR preferred
- Excellent computer skills required, preferably Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Oracle, and/or Kronos experience

Basic Responsibilities:
- Supports a variety of associate relations activities, such as supervisory coaching, professional development, conducting investigations, and administering disciplinary action
- Proactively works with leadership team to understand associate issues, as well as identify and implement solutions to attract, engage, and retain talent
- Strengthens associate retention and engagement through establishing the standard onboarding and orientation processes with integrated efforts from various functions
- Builds organizational capability by supporting the talent management and organizational effectiveness initiatives in areas such as succession planning, mentorship programs, leadership development training, and performance management
- Supports current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of associate relations
- Owns the execution of day-to-day HR operational processes, procedures, and compliance to ensure consistency
- Advises supervisors and associates on state and federal employment regulations, benefit and compensation policies, company policies & procedures
- Serves as a confidential point of contact for associates to communicate with management, seek clarification on issues or dilemmas, or to report irregularities
- Administers benefit programs for associates, including insurance, savings plan, and tuition reimbursement
- Plans and executes events on behalf of charitable causes within the local community
- Ensures company compliance with federal and state laws, including reporting requirements
- Conducts routine stay interviews and assists with designing plans to resolve identified opportunities
- Conducts exit interviews and ensures the necessary employment termination paperwork is completed and proper procedures followed
- Knowledge of state unemployment regulations and processes
- Prepares and maintains personnel records, as well as auditing of records
