What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brandon SD - Summer Parks Maintenance position at Alternative HR, LLC?
Summer is just around the corner, and we're building our team in the Brandon Parks Department for the 2025 season! This summer position will assist with general maintenance and upkeep of the parks and recreation facilities of the City of Brandon along with other publicly maintained grounds, sidewalks and facilities.
Base pay of $16.00/hour!!!!
Duties to include:
- Cleaning of restrooms
- Cleaning of parks
- Picking up and dumping garbage cans
- Operating vehicles, UTV’s, tractors, weed eaters, push mowers, leaf blowers, edgers, tillers, painters, etc.
- Setting up athletic fields
- Baseball
- Softball
- Soccer
- Basic landscaping
- Weeding
- Planting
- Other Park related work as assigned
- Must be able to work in any outdoor environment and lift heavy objects.
We offer these two potential role and schedule options:
Park Maintenance position
- Summer Season May - August
- Monday – Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm (work is somewhat dependent on weather)
- Occasional weekends, specifically the following: April 26-28, May 17-19, May 24-26, June 14-16 and July 19-21
The ideal candidate will have:
- Must be at least 16 years of age and possess a valid driver license and good driving record
Must be able to perform the following:
- Work inside and outside, under varying weather conditions
- Lift/move up to 75 pounds
- Walk or stand for long periods of time
- Perform strenuous physical labor under adverse conditions
- Operate mowers, weed-trimmers, etc.
Salary : $16
