What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Specialist I position at Altimate Medical, Inc.?
- Performs the final inspection of AMI products per applicable inspection checklists.
- Packages AMI products per internal training and applicable work instructions.
- Follow quality procedures a applicable.
- Responsible for entering the proper information into the UPS/FedEx shipping system and attaching the proper labels to the packaging.
- Notify Quality Assurance if any product or material is nonconforming.
- Notify Inventory Control of any inventory shortages (i.e. packaging materials, parts, etc.).
- Update internal reprocessed items log for items found during inspection.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Understands and adheres to Quality & Compliance policies and procedures.
- Follows safety procedures and maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Utilizes appropriate personal protective equipment where/when necessary.
- Contributes to a respectful, non-hostile, non-violent work environment.
- Understands the purpose, value, and impact work has on product customers and users.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to follow prints, read and interpret documents; use material/equipment properly.
- Monitors own work to ensure quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
- Knowledgeable on use of common hand tools.
- Knowledgeable on use of computers (AMI will provide internal system training)
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to withstand moderate levels of noise.
- Ability to twist, turn, bend, reach, push, and pull.
- Ability to lift product and other items, up to 60 pounds. Requests assistance with lifting and moving products as needed.
