As a Quality Engineering Co-op for Altria in the Manufacturing Center in Richmond, Virginia, you’ll have the chance to help Altria shape the future and deliver winning results in an innovative and changing time. You'll experience on-the-job training, access to mentors and educational opportunities.
You'll be challenged and permitted to:
- Explore and mine product related data from multiple sources to inform product design and engineering efforts
- Use and develop data analysis tools to interpret data, seek trends and test hypotheses
- Document project work in formal reports and effectively communicate findings/recommendations to Senior Management upon completion of work
Note: Alternate Co-op participants will work during the school year. The desired typical work week for an Alternate Co-op is approximately 40 hours.
This Isn’t for Just Anyone – But It Could Be Perfect for You.
To qualify, student applicants must be:
- Rising juniors or seniors, or 1st year master’s degree and at the time of the co-op in good academic standing (minimum 3.0 GPA preferred)
- Pursuing a relevant undergraduate or graduate degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Math or Statistics and Quantitative Modeling program
- Strong communicators with strategic, analytical, and creative thinking skills and demonstrated leadership initiative
