Essential Functions:
- Assist registered nurses or other licensed practitioners in identifying patient needs, priorities of care, and goals based on patient characteristics.
- Contribute to the evaluation of the plan of care by gathering, observing, recording, and communicating patient responses to nursing interventions.
- Collaborate with licensed practitioners to modify the plan of care as necessary.
- Function as a member of the multidisciplinary team, contributing to the implementation of an integrated patient-centered care plan.
- Delegate nursing interventions to others for which they have the necessary skills and competence to accomplish safely.
- Identify early warning signs of a change in a patient's condition and report accordingly.
- Implement nursing interventions and prescribed medical regimens in a timely and safe manner.
- Communicate relevant and timely patient information with patients/families and other multidisciplinary team members.
Certifications:
- Licensed Practical Nurse | Minnesota Board of Nursing | Prior to Start Date
- Basic Life Support (BLS) | American Heart Association (AHA) | Within 90 days of Start Date
