Maintenance Manager

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations within our origination. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of maintenance management practices. This role requires proficiency in schematics, project management, and various electrical systems, including high and low voltage. The Maintenance Manager will ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Actively support and contribute to safety incentive programs by promoting a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with safety policies, and identifying opportunities to enhance workplace safety through maintenance practices and employee engagement.
• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical).
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses issues with encoders, servos, PLCs, and other critical systems.
• Evaluates and recommends equipment upgrades to improve performance, availability, and yield.
• Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and maintenance procedures.
• Welds, fabricates, and performs hands-on equipment repair as needed.
• Manages purchasing, stocking, and inventory control of spare parts and materials for equipment and facilities.
• Directly oversees all maintenance personnel, including contractor work on both projects and day-to-day activities.
• Develops key metrics for continuous improvement in equipment performance and staff efficiency.
• Maintains high plant standards for safety and working conditions, ensuring maximum protection for employees and equipment.
• Leads and manages capital projects, including expenditure justifications and equipment procurement.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong mechanical aptitude with expertise in encoders, servos, welding, and fabrication.
• Extensive knowledge of building systems, such as plumbing, electrical, and PLCs.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
• Strong organizational and planning skills for maintenance schedules and building systems.
• Excellent leadership and management abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least five years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and Value Propositions preferred.
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial systems.
• Familiarity with basic electrical tasks (e.g., running power, troubleshooting connections, replacing relays).
• Proven experience with fabricating, welding, and working on advanced systems such as encoders and servos.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to traverse the property and facility to diagnose issues and plan repairs or maintenance.
• Physically capable of performing repairs, including continuous lifting of up to 50 pounds.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be available for extended hours, including weekends, as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
