Primary Purpose:Open Until Filled
Coordinate the assessment process, training, and maintenance of all assistive technology devices and equipment district-wide.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Valid Texas license as a speech language pathologist granted by the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, or
Valid Texas license as an occupational therapist granted by the Texas Board of Occupational
Therapy Examiners, or
Valid Texas teaching certificate in the field of special education
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of assistive technology
Advanced knowledge of assistive technology software and hardware
Knowledge of student’s needs related to various physical/educational disabilities
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
Five years’ experience in special education
Three years’ experience in an AT leadership position preferred
Two years’ AT team training or similar experience
Salary: Admin. Professional PG5/10 months
Minimum $65,237
