- Document and ensure network and system architecture best practices are followed
- Coordinate with other groups in the company (local operations, corporate, construction I&E, etc.) on projects, support, and standardization.
- Participate in projects to ensure an on-time completion utilizing in-house staff and vendors when necessary.
- Assist in supporting clients iWAN network, security appliances, and field communications equipment.
- Support the business by solving user-submitted help desk requests.
- Participate in the network outage rotation.
- 3-5yrs experience in supporting Microsoft desktop and server environments.
- 3-5yrs experience with configuration and troubleshooting Cisco networking equipment.
- Experience with point-to-point and point to multi-point wireless technology
- Familiar with routing protocols: BGP, OSPF
- Experience with network security concepts and design.
- Experience with industrial radio networks/equipment and connecting SCADA hardware (RTU, PLC, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Able to explain and communicate problems and solutions clearly to non-technical users while being a part and working on a remote team
- Travel required 40% out of town.
