Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide support for patients with specific needs, including pediatrics, dementia care, and those with disabilities.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols.
- Assist nursing staff with medical documentation and reporting any changes in patient conditions.
- Support patients in rehabilitation exercises and mobility assistance as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Engage with patients to provide emotional support and companionship.
Skills
- Knowledge of physiology and basic medical terminology to understand patient care requirements.
- Experience in pediatrics or working in an ICU setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with infectious disease care practices to ensure patient safety.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating patience and empathy.
- Experience in providing care for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments is an asset.
- Proficiency in medical documentation practices to maintain accurate patient records.
